New Panasonic D-Snaps
Panasonic updates their D-snap MP3 players today introducing the high-end SD800N and the lower-end SD400V.
I’ve always respected Panasonic’s industrial designs for their previous D-snap models because they always had unique and attractive designs instead of just copying the ever-so-popular iPod. But with this new model, it basically has “iPod nano” etched across it with a touch of Sony. Shape, size and controller wise, it’s borrowed from the iPod while the finish and LCD treatment is from the Sony MP3 Walkman.
But anyway…
- the SD800N comes in blue, silver and pink
- the SD400V comes in pink, white, blue and yellow
- Battery life: 30hrs with monitor off, 20hrs with Noice Cancel Mode on, 17hrs with monitor mode on
- uses SD cards
- price: open
And checkout the colour names! Usually, Japanese products are plagued with silly colour names like “noble pink”, “nordic white”, “flamery red”, etc., etc. These silly colour names drive me nuts!
IPod’s rock
