Yesterday, I came across the best Batman Begins collectable figure to date. It is made by Takara and is built around their Cool Girl action figure series. But this time, for whatever reason, Takara decided to make a male figure (I ain’t complaining since it’s Batman!). Obviously, it wouldn’t be funky to attach the brand, Cool Girl, to a Batman figure therefore they named it Genx Core.

This Batman figure came out in the end of June and stands at 12-inches tall which is comparable to other Batman Begins collectable figures by other makers (DC Direct, Medicom and Hot Toys). But the other figures are NO where near as accurate as this one, period. Believe me, I have been looking at all of the Batman Begins collectable figures (cheaper, more expensive, larger, smaller, etc.). And as you know, I’m a designer therefore I am super-anal when it comes to the smallest of details/proportions. Now, I’m not saying this figure is 100% perfect. What I’m saying is, it is way better than the rest. Personally, I think it is 90% perfect (if you really must know). And, no, I’m not saying this based on the product shots which always look better than the final on-the-shelf product. I saw 3 of these figures with my very own eyes (2x behind a display cabinet, 1x opened up box) and was examining them for what felt like 30 mins

Best of all, not only is the figure fully posable, you get other gears with it, namely the Bruce Wayne head and combat gear! So in short, you are basically owning Batman and Bruce Wayne! I’m seriously lusting for one but I am totally broke right now and most of the Japanese online stores are out of stock, anyway. This item is hot!

NOTE: I’ve had a great deal of emails asking if the Genx Core body can be purchased alone. The answer is NO. Takara does not sell the standalone body, unlike Medicom (RAH body) or Hot Toys (True Type body).
