Personally, I think the D40 is just too small. With my Nikon D80 and ex-D50, my last 3 fingers just fit on the handgrip perfectly. If I was to hold the D40, my little finger will probably end up under the body. But still, the handgrip looks much more comfortable to hold than the Canon KISS models…
