The Imperial Palace

Yuki is in town again from Osaka so I met up with her and her manga-artist friend, Hiromi, and did a bit of sightseeing here in Tokyo.
First, we headed off to the Imperial Palace. To gain entrance, you must make an application via phone or from their website. I saw a good few foreign tourists show up only to be turned away by the security guards before people were allowed in. Anyway, the tour only lasts about 1hr 15mins or so and most of the people touring are the elderly. Basically, you do not tour deep into the Imperial Palace, only around a small section of a non-important area. Personally, I’m not sure I would recommend this tour as their really was not so much to see. But if you really have an hour to spare and have some friends around, I guess why not…

(My camera was left on ISO 1600 from previous use and I forgot to set it lower before shooting here, doh! As you can see, some pics are so bright, you do not see the details in some objects (ie. roof and trees)! Even Photoshop failed to bring the details back out.)
Even though your shots were on 1600, they are not as ‘noisy’. Were the originals very over-exposed? What’s that modern building with a ring at the top of the building (the 6th image)?
Hey Richard, I’ve recovered, thanks.
Yeah, the images are not so noisey especially when they are that small. The pics are also over exposed. Your Canons should be much better at handling noise.
Thats not a building, its just a monument of something depicting a pine tree (forgot the details).
