At first I thought I was having chem. class flashbacks. ^^; I think they are the best icons I have seen in a while. Simple and clean is how I like design to feel.

    Absolutely, Edward!
I know there’s been a few designers complaining that these icons have gone too far with the simplicity look and that an icon should be instantly recognised as being associated with a program (there are lots of amateur designers who think something simple in design is not really design). Let’s put it this way, I don’t see how a feather is associated with Photoshop, a flower associated with Illustrator, or a butterfly associated with InDesign (CS2 icons). I’ve been using CS2 since it came out and even today, I still get mixed up with the Illustrator and Photoshop icons!

With the new icons, this problem is eliminated to a certain extent: Ps is PhotoShop, Ai is Illustrator, etc. Not sure about the multi-colouring tho…
