Well, as I’ve covered before here, the period for which you should have ordered your SLUMP THE BOX - NCHA DVD set ended on Monday. The page for ordering has also been removed. Does this mean, if you didn’t order, there’s no way that you can get them afterwards (besides eBay)? Hmmmmm… I’m wondering if some stores will stock ‘em. We’ll find out soon enough (March 23, shipping).

Anyway, the accompanying 15 figures were revealed a month or so ago and they’ve now thrown in an extra one too, Mecha toriyama, bringing the total number of figures to 16!

You know, being one of the biggest Dr Slump fans, I didn’t order. I so wanted to but this set of DVDs is priced at ¥105,000! This will be a little forgive-able if it contained all 243 episodes but it only contains half of that. The 2nd set coming on September 14, SLUMP THE BOX - HOYOYO, will contain the rest of the episodes (and unconfirmed goodies) and will set you back another ¥105,000! That’s ¥210,000 to own ‘em all! Sadly, I’m just not in a position to spend this kinda money right now.

Well, the much rumoured widescreen iPod, touch screen interface, etc., happens to be the new revolutionary Apple cellphone, iPhone. It runs Mac OSX and is basically the internet in your pocket! A combined widescreen iPod, mobile phone and internet communicator, is just 11.6mm wide, and with a touch screen (no keypad)! An incredible device!

To be honest, even from years ago, I didn’t think too much of an Apple cellphone. I thought, besides putting iChat on there, what else can they do? No way would they ever be able to beat some of the cellphone makers in Japan. Even today, before MacWorld kicked off, I still wasn’t excited about an Apple phone. But now, after seeing/reading about what it can do, I’m totally gobsmacked!! Apple has reinvented the phone, period! I so frikkin’ want one!!

All this bolds well for a new, wide-screen, multi-touch iPod! It has to be just around the corner!

I was just watching a nature TV program about whales which reminded me of something I thought was funny (or maybe, dumb). About 4 years or so ago, my ex-employer started introducing a personality and IQ test for potential new employees. Before the tests were finalised and rolled out, my employers decided to gather some data from existing employees as a benchmark for which the new potential employee’s marks would be judged against. And yes, I happened to be one of these existing employees who had to take the test.

The test had 3 parts to it (but is really 2). The first part is the personality questionaire, second part is the IQ test, and the third is basically repeating the personality questions but re-worded with different scenarios to try and catch you out. Oh, also it had to be done within 30 minutes. Anyway, I won’t go into all the details, I’ll just get straight to the question that caught me out. The question was:

That’s a pretty bold statement on Apple’s top page. We may expect big things this year from Apple? No idea but I’m expecting…

…big big things from myself this year. 2007 is definitely the make or break year for me. Damn, I’m scared yet excited!
