Sony’s iPod docking speakers
… the iPod Audio Docking Stationspacer CPF-IP001. Hahahahaha… Sony has finally surrendered to the iPod’s popularity. Sony should stop updating their MP3 players every 90 days - the amount of MP3 players (and digicams) Sony throws out in a year is crazy!
Anyway, the speaker is equipped with an ipod connector and is compatible with 1G and 2G Nano, 4G and 5G iPods, and the 1G Mini iPod. The speaker includes a subwoofer with a powerful S-Master amplifier for superior sound yet it is small and light enough to be placed in any room of your home. Of course, a remote is included.
To be honest, I like the look of these speakers but the price tag is rather heavy. Actually, come to think of it, if I ever do buy a pair of speakers for my iPod, it will be either Apple’s iPod Hi-Fi, or nothing. Hahahahaha… bet you saw that coming! I’m such a sucker for all things Apple… (^_^;)
Hi! I just came upon your blog and was fascinated with all the photos around Tokyo! I’m actually planning to visit Tokyo in June, any good advice as to what to see or do while I’m there. I’ll be there for about two weeks
The S-Master amp. would set it apart from a lot of offerings. I’ve seen it for $199.00 US online. I like to see more information on it. I’ve got a 3G iPod….so I suppose it would not dock.
Jazz110,
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. 3G iPods use the same connector (if 3G is the “touch sensitive buttons” version). In terms of thickness, the 3G iPod is around the same as my 60GB iPod photo (4G) therefore “thickness” can’t be a factor either. I wonder why… probably due to Sony’s lack of iPod knowledge, they have no idea that the 3G iPod uses the same connector? Oh well…
Alyssa,
Hmmmm… I think you’re asking the wrong person. I’m more of the shopping kind therefore I don’t know many tourist areas, sorry.
June: rain season - wet and humid. 2 weeks in Tokyo alone is kinda too much in my opinion. I suggest you go to other cities neighbouring Tokyo too.
Anyway, here’s a few spots I guess are OK for tourists:
Shopping: Shibuya, Harajuku, Omotesando, Ginza, Shinjuku, Akihabara.
Sightseeing: Tokyo Tower, Asakusa (Kannon Temple).
A bit of both: Odaiba, Roppongi Hills.
I’m surmising it has adaptors for the different types of iPods, right?
