That’s right! I bought Slump the Box close to 2 weeks ago but just never got around to showing them off earlier cuz I’ve been busting my b*lls on some urgent web re-design job for the last 2 weeks…

Actually, the “I bought” is a little misleading. The complete sentence should be “I bought it on behalf of Hing Dai” (I’m too broke to buy anything right now). This set of DVDs and figures were going for a pre-order price of ¥105,000. Well, on the same day they finally shipped, Yodobashi in Akiba had them in stock and dropped the price by 25% to a little under ¥79,000 including the figures, which I was lead to believe, is an incentive for ordering. Man, I feel sorry for the poor buggers who actually pre-ordered (if I had the cash, I would be one of these ‘poor buggers’. Now, I’m not sure if it is because not a lot of people pre-ordered (afterall, ¥105,000 is a friggin’ lot of money) therefore they still have some figure sets available or they’re bundled regardless if you pre-ordered or not. But I wasn’t gonna wait and find out, just in case the figures are indeed limited!

I spoke with Hing Dai right away about buying them on his behalf and that I really wanted the figures and offered to buy them from him. So yeah, I now have the figures that I so wanted since I found about about them from over half a year ago. Best part is, I have permission to open up the DVDs and watch them!

PS. If you are gonna buy this, make sure you have no other shoppings to carry - the box is quite large and weighs about 5kg (lots of boxes inside boxes inside boxes inside boxes). I had a hard time carrying it back… be warned!
