This mysterious secret project, a movie produced by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Mission Impossible 3, Lost, etc), has had quite a bit of buzz ever since the teaser was first shown with Transformers when it opened in theaters on July 3rd.
The numbers, 1-18-08, which seems like the title, is actually nothing more than just the release date. There is currently no title for the movie, no cast list and nor is there a synopsis. Even the official website is pretty empty right now besides the odd few drag-able pictures….
The teaser is pretty interesting and filmed in ‘reality’ style - like The Blair Witch Project. No idea if this style is employed for the teaser only (if so, its a great idea) or if the whole movie itself is actually shot in this way (something I’m not too keen on).
So, what do you think the movie is about? At this moment, it seems like some cheap monster flick to me… (kinda like the Japanese Godzilla).

What on earth? Okay, it looks interesting, but not interesting enough to go see it without any inkling of what it’s about or even a title.
Looks good! But yea looks like some monster flick. On a side note…CAN’T WAIT FOR TRANSFORMERS!!!

Codenamed Cloverfield at the moment. Read on wikipedia that it’s a parasite wiping out NY. The trailer was pretty cool.
