Phenomenons and mysteries

Ever since I was given one of Arthur C. Clarke’s books about the world’s mysteries and phenomenons as a kid, I’ve pretty much believed in most of them. The ones that fascinated me at the time, I continue to hold an interest in them and read up about them whenever news arises.

Below, I have listed the mysteries and phenomenons I’m interested or believe in and what I think of them…:

casper.jpg1. GHOSTS
OK, let’s get this one out of the way first because I do not really have that much to say. I’ve always believed in ghosts. I think it’s partly because of the halloween season and some of the ghost stories that teachers tell in school. My belief and fear in ghosts were further cemented back in 1995 after one of my own experiences. Let me tell you, they (or something) exist, period. No, I didn’t see it (thank god), but it made sure I knew it was there, literally. I’m not too keen on disclosing my experience to anyone plus I’m sure all of you would have heard quite a bit of ghost stories anyway therefore I’ll end the topic here.

yeti.jpg2. BIGFOOT & YETI
I don’t know too much about BigFoot but I cannot understand why some people doubt its existence. Is it really that hard to believe that there is a big monkey which stands upright and walks like a human being lurking in the forests? I mean, scientists find all kinds of unknown or thought-to-be-extinct animals in forests all the time, anyway. And since we humans were once monkeys, maybe the BigFoot is just something in between that never got to fully evolve. That’s my take.

As for the Yeti (abominable snowman), again, why not? Don’t forget, we’ve only explored approx. 10% of the Himalayas - that leaves 90% untouched. Who knows what else is up there…

uuff.jpg3. UFO & EXTRA-TERRESTRIALS
What kind of a silly person would even believe that we are alone in this vast universe? Anyway, I pretty much believe in aliens - I believe they are a much more intelligent species, much more technologically advanced, and I believe they come to earth to check us ’sad species’ out. What I don’t believe is, they’re in direct contact with us. You know, like President Bush or NASA dining with them. Hahahahaha. I just think the extra-terrestrials drop by every now and again to see what we humans get up to.

I sometimes also think, you know how all the people who have either seen or been abducted by aliens, they all describe the aliens looking the same - like humans: has a head, nostrils, mouth, torso, arms and legs? I can’t help but let my imagination run a bit wild regarding this. What if, the aliens are actually an evolution of humans? Just like how monkeys evolved to become humans. I mean, the alien’s appearances are just too close to humans for comfort. Maybe they’re just humans a few million years from now. And to understand their past and evolution process, they somehow cloned and created their ancestors, namely us, and dumped us on another planet (earth) just so they can observe and study how we behave and evolve.

Personally, I think anything is possible. For all we know, maybe earth is just a big zoo and the aliens are here on a family safari trip… hahahahaha. Oh, I also believe that some of the UFOs spotted were secret military prototype aircrafts.

nes.jpg4. NESSIE - THE LOCH NESS MONSTER
This is the one that fascinates me the most and is the one that prompted me to write this entry because there is a new movie based on Nessie.

My belief in the Loch Ness Monster does not necessarily mean I believe it is the prehistoric dinosaur, Plesiosaur. I believe there is definitely some big creature in the loch which is probably not currently known to science (ie. a weird big eel with flippers, a massive turtle with a long neck, etc., etc.). Just look at some of the news regarding marine trips for research purposes. Each time they go out trawling the deep sea, they always return with thousands of new species of marine life.

I know most will argue that deep-sea-sonar-scans of the loch (from top to bottom, from left to right) have been performed a good number of times with each time returning zero results on something big. But lets not forget, the river Ness extends 6 miles from Loch Ness to the North Sea and is approx. 4 miles deep with lots of caves and tunnels down below. Also of note, for hundreds of years a gigantic viking ship has been laying at the bottom of the loch undiscovered and undisturbed by time or scientists until just a few months ago (or is it already a few years ago by now?) when a submarine of some sort picked it up. It just shows how accurate those sonar scans were, huh?

If Nessie is indeed just a normal animal in the loch but mistaken as a monster by some, then the elephant theory pretty much clears it up. It is said, in the 1930s, circuses were a common occurrence in the area. When the circuses were moving around on the roads next to the loch, their animals were allowed to take a rest and a dip in the loch. The images below seems pretty accurate and convincing to me:

But still, I believe something unusual is definitely in the loch. Checkout this latest sighting video from a few months back (or the CNN version with two scientists debating).

earth.jpg5. Others
Not much to talk about regarding other phenomenons and mysteries because although I believe in them, I’ve never bothered looking into them. One of them is the Bermuda Triangle mystery. I totally believe in whatever happened back then: planes and ships disappearing once they reach the zone. But I have never thought about nor looked into whether they were dragged into another dimension, or they were sucked under the sea, or a massive wind blew them off to another country, etc. All I know is (from reading), planes, ships and their occupants disappeared without a trace. And I believe it. Same goes with Atlantis - in a single day and night of misfortune, a city and its people forever sank into the earth.

So, this is it. This is all I have to say for this post. You’re more than welcome to bash me and my beliefs… :?

dude. your right on with this post! I mean there is more out there, I’m sure of it. Your theory on aliens chunking some humans on earth is interesting. I have a hard time believing that humans just magically appeared on earth. “Anything is possible”

That elephant being the Loch Ness is really intriguing. However, if that is the case, why have these cases somewhat disappeared in recent years?

If there would be other life, far more advanced than us, they’d contact us already by now ;-)

I believe there is LOADS more than we don’t know, on our own little planet. People are going into space, funding billion of $$ into Space exploration, but they have only uncovered a tiny piece of our own world. Isn’t it crazy :/
