Tokyo Game Show 2007 (TGS2007)

(Re-posted after data loss) To be very honest, just like last year, I came to TGS without trying any games out. For starters, I am not the type that would queue 90 minutes just so I can try out a new game for 5 minutes. Secondly, I don’t really play games all that often. I’m actually more interested in the design of the interface. Alright, alright, the truth is, I’m an old sod and the games of today are far too sophisticated for me… (-_-;)

As with previous events, taking photos of a game running was prohibited (seems more so than previous years). The best I could do is photo the booths. Game wise, I don’t think there was anything here that blew-my-pants-off. They were mainly sequels or some sort: Metal Gear Solid 4 (impressive but we’ve all seen a billion trailers of the game already), Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (yawn), Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry 4, Winning Eleven, etc. On the otherhand, the physics for the game, Little Big Planet, seemed rather impressive: guide little characters with various abilities that can shape and develop the highly manipulable environment to build custom spaces, individually, collaboratively, and/or competitively.

And Sega’s classic, NIGHTS into Dreams, is back! Yep, that is the simplistic game from over a decade ago which debut on the Sega Saturn. Besides updated graphics on the Nintendo Wii, it pretty much looks and plays the same, which I guess is a good thing. Glad to see it back for the nex-gens!

Anyway, I’ll leave it here. Enjoy the pics…

How could you have gone to Tokyo Game Show and not taken any up-skirt shots like the rest of the camera-kozo? :p
