iPod touch GET!
Yeah, I suck, I bought an iPod touch (16GB) the day they hit the shelves. I wrote about it elsewhere because I was unable to do so here since this site was dead back then.
Anyway, here’s what I wrote (October 5th, 2007):
After trashing the iPod touch’s tiny 16GB capacity ever since it was first announced, I actually went out and bought one at lunchtime. They came out today in Tokyo and I dashed off to Shibuya during my lunch break to pick one up.
Both BIC stores in Shibuya were sold out therefore I had to do without the points and bought one from Apple Store Shibuya, instead. When I got there, there were quite a few people buying them. They had about 15-20 16GB units on the shelf when I grabbed mine. But as soon as I finished paying, there was only one left and then some dude took it! But I also spotted about a dozen behind the cashier… no idea if they have any more lurking around in their store room. Judging from today’s shopping experience, these iPods are HOT!
Let’s put it this way: the slick industrial design, the touch interface design, and the fact that it just works as advertised (and really responsive too) was enough to pull me over eliminating any issues I had with it’s tiny 16GB capacity. It looks so good, it works so well, I just had to have it, period!
I suck real bad, I know! And I’m now ¥49,000 lighter…

Tried one of these out today and I have to say I am very very impressed! Still the 16GB is putting me off

Looks nice, but too big for my tastes, just picked up the new Nano – same memory issues there.
What I’d really like is a Nano sized iPod Touch …
I HATE YOU! you got it before me! I can’t wait to get mine, what I like about this touch is the safari, finally a good browser, on the go!

Hey Mark, long time! Please send my regards to J, P, S, E and F. The new nano is very nice. Not sure about a touch screen nano though: one finger probably already takes up the whole screen
