Shooting buildings

Arrived in work yesterday but was right away sent home to grab my camera and go wherever I liked to take some photos. Yesterday happened to be one of those days when my boss decided we should ‘free our minds’, ‘be creative’ and ‘do whatever’… to a certain point.

That ‘certain point’ was to take photos of buildings, it’s materials/textures, etc., which I’m sure most of the shots will be used (sooner or later) for internal projects which requires/focuses less on photography (like… just needs a placeholder).

Anyway, below are some samples (cannot show all due to chance that they ‘may’ get used).

Some pro advice please, Richard (Singapore), Markfftang (UK), Mark (Germany) and anyone else??

Entrance to Dentsu HQ, Japan’s largest advertising agency…

… and they have a whole darn skyscraper!

At the top of the Dentsu building for lunch. Korean food!

Hey, I’m in Ginza. Of course Apple has to be in a shot, right?

De Beer Diamonds (opening soon)

Nice Pics. Looks like you had a good time going around the city taking photos. Hard to believe that it is for work!

Some great shots here Eddie, wide lenses and interesting angles are always good. Time of day is always a good extra variable to play with for that ‘nice’ light, also night shots can work to great effect.
They’d be crazy not to use your photos ! :)

Btw, if you shoot at 1/2sec or less people’s faces blur and you don’t have to worry about model release ! (Used that one meself). Oh, and do you have to think about propery release over there ?

    Thanks all.

Maybe cuz they’re all black? Or simply because you’re a gadget freak and like the iPod touch and Media Skin (^_^)

There you are PRO! Yeah, didn’t bring a tripod with me and nor do I have VR lens. Regarding privacy… shhhhhhhh

Btw, what do you think of Nikon’s 18-200 VR lens? Its been sold out ever since it came out over 2 years ago. It’s a bit expensive for me though but zoom with VR sounds tempting (replace the 18-70 I have).
