Tokyo Motor Show 2007

Went to the 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007 (TMS2007) today which is held at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex (from October 27th - November 11th )

The Tokyo Motor Show is held once every 2 years therefore the venue is pretty crowded with families, car enthusiasts and dirty buggers whom are there with the sole purpose of taking photos of booth babes. Actually, come to think of it, when I was there 2 years ago, it didn’t feel quite as crowded. This time tough, it was pretty difficult to get right-in-front of some high profile cars. And to top it off, literally everyone stood on my feet (and I was wearing white shoes too, dammit!). So yeah, it was pretty crowded. Maybe there were more new cars this year than the previous event? Anyway…

To be honest, I don’t keep up with the car scene anymore therefore I have no idea which cars are new and/or powerful. I kinda knew more about cars (and specs) back in the days when I owned my first car which happens to be 14 years ago. Now, I’m more interested in the industrial design of a car rather than what is under-the-hood. So then, why do I even bother with the Tokyo Motor Shows? Well, two years ago, a client for the company I worked for happened to be a car manufacturer therefore I had free tickets to the event. This year, I guess I just wanted something to do so I went.

Anyway, due the given conditions, I wasn’t really able to get myself in a position to try and capture the cars at a funky angle. Heck, a lot of shots were taken via holding the cam high in the air over everyone’s heads.
And WTF?! No Aston Martin this year! Then again, I don’t think they have anything new to offer anyway.
Enjoy the photos…
