Ninja Hattori-Kun VCD
Oh man, look whose next to get the vinyl treatment… Ninja Hattori-Kun (忍者ハットリくん)! You know I’m defo gonna get this! But it won’t be available until 2008 April! Boooo! But, then again, my birthday is in April (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, he’s only ¥3,990)…
Medicom, the Japanese toy maker, will every now and again pay tribute to some great manga/anime/movie characters by releasing vinyl dolls of them under their Vinyl Collectible Dolls (VCD) brand. Usually, they are deformed versions like the Spidey 3 ones I have, but in the case for anime/manga characters, they’re already deformed anyway.
Medicom has pretty much released vinyl dolls of all my fav anime/manga characters such as Doraemon (+ buddies), Kaibutsu-Kun (+buddies), Parman (+buddies), etc., etc., all of which, I would love to own but have no space for them since they are not small (8-inches upwards) and the fact that I’m a box guy (I like to keep them in their boxes) meaning they will take up much more space. Anyway of them all, I think Hattori-Kun is the only one I will buy for the time being because I like him the most. If Medicom ever releases vinyls of Arale/Dr Slump, you know I’d bankrupt myself for them all!
