Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel
… is the hotel I am staying in for my 12 nights here in Hong Kong. The hotel is a five-star hotel conveniently located in Habour City (one of HK’s largest shopping complex) in the heart of the commercial, shopping, and entertainment district of Hong Kong with Victoria Harbour on it’s doorstep.
There are 3 Marco Polo Hotels here which literally stretch the whole of Canton road: Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, Marco Polo Gateway Hotel, and Marco Polo Prince Hotel, all right next to each other. Marco Polo Hong Kong is right next to Victoria Harbour, while Marco Polo Prince is the furthest away (maybe an extra 2 mins walk).
The room I stayed in is known as the ‘Deluxe room” and is priced at approx. HK$2,800 per night (US$360). To be honest, this hotel was chosen for me by my brother who happens to be friends with the General Manager and Area Director of the Marco Polo Hotels. And because of this, I got a whole load of freebies (pictured somewhere below).

Internet access fees: 60 mins for HK$70 (US$9), 24hrs for HK$120 (US$15), 3 days for HK$250 (US$32), 7 days for HK$500 (US$65), 30 days for HK$1,800 (US$230)
The TV unit is disappointing (old and small). Not that I’d ever use it anyway.

2. Inside the birdcage are deserts - one on each spoon
3. A bottle of wine
4. A leather organiser
Oh, by the way, although Victoria Harbour is right next door, I don’t get the Harbour view from my room. If you want the ‘Deluxe Room with Harbour view’, it will set you back HK$3,750 (US$480) per night… ouch!

You had to pay for internet access?!?! What a rip! Now Golden View Hotel…that’s the place to stay if you wanted free internet access…!
Wow! For $360 a night, that’s the only freebies you get? I’d have to sell my organs and more to stay at this hotel.
