Best Apple concept mockups
Yeah, yeah, yeah, another Apple-related post it is. I swear this’ll be the last one until a new product surfaces which tickles my fancies…
Checkout these mockups. Some of these look better than what Jonathan Ive can knock-up! But yeah, they’re just mockups…
I love looking at concept mockups cuz they always look great since they rarely ever take into consideration if they’re technically achieve-able (and at an affordable cost) or not. And a lot of times, even though a concept is achieve-able, the final product will always look a bit different.
For example, Nissan’s GT-R: the whole body design looks timeless and aggressive in it’s conceptual form. When it’s taken beyond the conceptual form into a fully working prototype, the design gets streamlined/toned down a bit, but overall it still looks aggressive (cuz of that front bumper). But once it reaches the full-scale production stage, the bumper is lost thus the aggressive-ness is reduced (maybe the bumper is optional?) and the body gets more lines and curves added which somehow takes away the timeless styling it once had. But anyway, that’s what happens from concept to mass production - refine, refine, refine…

Nice, I have never seen these pre-productions of the GT-R. Yes it’s a shame once a vehicle is fit into existing parts, fabrication and manufacturing processes it losses so much of the original concept.
Some of those Apple mockups are nice. Someday one maybe lead to a new product. What I wouldn’t mind having is one of those MBP tablet modifications. ModBook I think it’s called.
