Long time no see… Nikon

I’ve kinda decided I will try and carry my DSLR around with me on a daily basis. This is because I cannot even remember when the last time was when I turned the thing on! I really ought to use it more.

The obvious downside of lugging around a DSLR is the weight and to top it off, my everyday bag will not close with the cam in it. And this is with the smaller lens mounted. With the bigger lens, it probably will not even fit… sigh.

Yes, I do have a dedicated camera bag but thats out of the question for daily use. Need to think of alternatives for carrying… any suggestions?

I’m seriously thinking about upgrading from my D70 to the D300. I’m checking out strobist.com a lot too. I look forward to more pics :)

Going from a D70 to a D300 is gonna be well cool! I’d defo do it if I were you. The D300 is going for only ¥162,000 now (body only).

I’m hoping my next upgrade will be to a D400 or something (if I can hold off for 2 years)

You might consider getting a wider everyday bag instead of the one you’re using. I’m on vacation now and the last thing I want to do is carry a bag that looks like a camera bag. Definitely find something that is wider, not necessarily bigger. This way, the camera body will fit and so will the rest of the stuff you carry every day.

I buy all my purses based on whether I can fit my DSLR in them. LOL!

You’re not alone eddie. I can’t remember the last time I have had my 20D in my hands. Sad thing that is for me…

I plan to look for an every day bag when I go to Osaka in a few weeks. If I find anything interesting I will let you know.
