Firefox 3 unleashed
Woohoo… Firefox 3 is finally upon us!
I was one of those who signed up and pledged to download Firefox 3 within it’s first 24 hours of release in the hope of setting a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded within that period. Well, I just downloaded it and am gob-smacked by how frikkin’ fast this thing is!
I’m not sure if the Guinness Record has been broken yet but the Firefox 2 download record certainly has, as stated in one of Mozilla’s blog entries
We exceeded the first day download mark for Firefox 2 of 1.6 million after just five hours of availability for Firefox 3.
The speed of Firefox 3 alone is well worth the update, not to mention the new list of features. So what are you waiting for?! Go get it now and help set a new Guinness Record!
