Well, the day has come for the lucky draw for the bunny paper-clips! The comments feature on the original entry are now closed so no one else can enter since the deadline is over. Those who missed out, sorry, next time.

After some thinking, I think the way in which I originally wished to conduct the draw may not actually work that well therefore I’ll be making some changes as follows:

• Instead of writing names on papers and tossed into a box, the name will be written on post-it stickies
• Instead of tossing the stickies into a box, I will be laying them out in a circular pattern (like a clock) with Kurara being placed in the center
• Instead of Kurara nibbling on a sticky (he doesn’t nibble on things… yet), Kurara will be placed in the center of the clock-layout facing a direction determined by the spinning of a bottle and which direction it points to when it stops

Hoped outcome: Kurara will walk his way out of the center stepping onto the stickies. This will cause a sticky to stick to his feet. That one will be the winner.

So, how does that sound?

Of course there may be some bloopers such as:

• the stickies won’t stick to his furry feet
• more than one would stick to his feet

In the event of the first, I’m pretty sure a sticky will at least stick to Kurara’s furry feet for even just ‘one second’ before falling off. That will be the lucky winner. For the second, the sticky that covers the most area of Kurara’s feet, or the one that sticks first, or for longest, will be the lucky winner.

Also, instead of writing the participant’s name on the stickies, it is easier to assign numbers to participants and write the numbers on the sticky instead (yeah, I’m lazy). Numbers will be assigned based on the order of comments received. In short, the first participant whom commented will be assigned number 1, the second will be assigned number 2, and so forth. Those who commented twice, of course they will not get two numbers – the number assigned will be based on their first comment.

So, here goes. GOOD LUCK, people!

Writing the 22 numbers on the post-its. Doh! I wrote the numbers on the top side which happens to be the non-sticky side! The sticky side has to face upwards in order for it to stick to Kurara’s feet. Argh, oh well, I guess the numbers will have to face downwards then – more mysterious this way.

Numbers are randomly placed forming the circle (no. 1 is not necessarily next to 2. 3 is not necessarily next to 4, etc., etc.).

A pretty decent circle is formed using all 22 stickies (^_^)

The spinning bottle! Kinda cheap, I know.

Ready? Spin, baby, spiiiiiiiiiiiin……….

… stops spinning and points towards the four o’clock position. Let’s mark the position with the pen. Now, where is Kurara?

Taa daa… the superstar himself! Hasn’t he grown?

Kurara is placed inside the circle facing the direction of the marker. He somewhat looks rather confused by the setting…

… and heads straight for the direction he was facing. He also finds the time to headbutt the pen… hahahaha.

Yes!! The sticky stuck to his feet! Woot!

Oh, it’s come off and the number is…

…Twenty one – 21!!
