Hyakusai Chinese Restaurant
Hyakusai (百菜) is a Chinese restaurant located in Nishi-Azabu. It is a very small restaurant and the decoration is anything but Chinese looking – looks more like a cafe or something similar. But anyway…
It’s actually been a while since I last consumed some good old greasy Chinese food. I headed here for lunch with a few guys and I found the food to be pretty decent. Especially for only ¥1,000 per set as pictured below.
I would not say that this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in town but if you happen to work in this area, I’d highly recommend you drop by considering the food is good, the quantity is good, and the price is pretty unbeatable for a restaurant in this expensive area.
Downside: I was told that the place is usually full during lunch hours (it is a pretty small place). Today was an exception, though. Lucky me, I guess… (^_-)

My lunch set: Squid, shrimps and asparagus in black pepper

J’s lunch: congee (a type of rice porridge) set with all kinds of dim sum

Phwoar, look at the dim sum. My last dim sum was 8 months ago when I was in HK. Before that, it was in Dec 2003!

GIMME GIMME GIMME!
Yeah, it was pretty good. I always forget about that place but it’s one of the better chinese in the area.
