Otokomae Tofuten chocolate
Otokomae Tofu (男前豆腐) is a brand of tofu (beancurd) that is sold nationwide here in Japan. The name is kinda funky for beancurd – the brand is simply known as 男 meaning MAN but the full name for the product is 男前豆腐 (Otokomae tofu) which basically translates to ‘Handsome Beancurd’. Hmmmmmmmm…
Anyway, yesterday I came across a new chocolate on the market by this very tofu maker called, Otokomae Tofuten Chocolate. Basically, beancurd chocolate.
As you can see from the pics, it looks just like white chocolate. Taste wise, it does taste a bit beancurdy and as with most chocolate, it was rather sweet.
A pack of 8 choco cubes cost ¥120.
