Kotobukiya - The Dark Knight statue get!
The first of the Kotobukiya Dark Knight line of statues came out yesterday therefore I had to go get one for myself today.

The box is rather frikkin’ large!

Back of the box. As you can see, the next statue to come out is the ‘original suit’ Batman in November. Then there is the Joker statue! Cannot wait! Defo gonna get it! The third is not a statue but rather a 3D kind of poster (mini statue molds inside of a frame). Man, I hope Kotobukiya would make a Two-Face in due time!

The statue is a PVC snap-it-kit. It comes in pieces.

No wonder the box is so big. Is it necessary for such depth? Waste of resources.

I didn’t even realise there is a skyline backdrop behind the figure in the box. The plastic protection mold is just too shiny and allows you to see nothing but reflections. This also makes it rather hard to spot imperfections on the figure.

Instructions for those whom really have no idea where limbs belong on a body.

Just 6 pieces to snap together (actually 7 because the head comes off).

Simply just slot things into place.

Cape-less Batman. Unfortunately, the accuracy (suit sculpt) and proportions really suffer on this otherwise great statue. Does he or doesn’t he look rather slender? His head and torso are fine but his legs are a little on the thin side. Doesn’t look like he has amour on his legs at all, more like just a pair of thin tights.

The final piece is slotted into place. Batman is ready to kick some butt!

Despite some accuracy problems, the statue is beautiful regardless.
Conclusion
If you’re on the market for Dark Knight statues, look no further than what Kotobukiya has too offer. Kotobukiya is known for making great stautes and this Dark Knight Batman is no exception. Well worth the JP¥ 12,600 asking price, period!
Now… bring on the original suit Batman and the Joker!
The Joker with interchangeable heads and hand (knife or cigar)

Thanks Adam (England)
Woah you’re fast… It’s hit Singapore but not that particular shop I ordered from. Dang!
Fast? Early? I think what you guys should be saying is, your countries are ’slow’ to get this figure… (^_-)
Hey man, thanks for the shots, nice. I don’t think the legs are too thin. Christian Bale doesn’t have a large built anyways, and his new suit wasn’t very thick. I would say what’s off with the accuracy is the head. I think they modified the head to show a more mean look, more ‘frowns’ on the mask.I just got my Kotobukiya Dark Knight today.
