Bali: Bali Hyatt’s pool and beach
Here are a few pics of the beach and pool in the Bali Hyatt Hotel…

One must pass the pool to reach the beach. I didn’t have the time to chill by the pool. Then again, I didn’t see the point in using the pool when the beach was just a few steps away.
The beach

A little cloudy but the sun was shining.

Other holiday-makers on the beach.

This is what allowed me to use my digicam in the sea. Its a generic waterproof (10m) rubber case which fits a ‘variety’ of compact cameras. Because it fits a variety of cameras, my digicam is a tad on the small side hence it was kinda moving around in the case (that is why you can see black circular shadows on the edges of my pics). The case costs only JP¥4,000 which is six times cheaper than the official waterproof box for my cam (a solid transparent box allowing use at up to 40m deep).

Despite spending a very short time on the beach I ended up being sunburnt. I didn’t know nor feel the pain until I arrived back in Tokyo. Since I visit the dermatologists every weekend, I decided to show the doctor what I thought was a minor sunburn. To my surprise, the doctor said, “that is a severe case”, and before I knew it, I was plastered in gel covered dressings and was told not to take a shower for a day or two! Man, it was pretty painful for a good few days. I think what elevated the condition was the fact that I headed off to a Spa right after the beach and got all kinds of body scubs and massages.
Right now, I’m itchy and peeling.

Ouchies.
