Bali: Kuta

Bali: Kuta

Kuta is on the west-side of Bali which is approx. 40 mins taxi ride from Sanur. It is one of the main tourists areas (hence Hard Rock and Starbucks is here) with lots and lots of souvenir shops and a few big shopping plazas. Compared to Sanur, this place is much more alive.

As we all know, Indonesian dancing is a pretty big part of Indonesian culture with hundreds and hundreds of different dances. Most of the dances are based on tales of fairytale characters and the stories are usually about good Vs evil, about religious ceremonies, etc., etc.

Bali: Sanur

As mentioned, during my trip to Bali, my hotel was located in Sanur which is on the east side of Bali. The following pics are taken near the hotel on the main street which is rather long containing lots of restaurants, bars, local shops, souvenir shops and foreign currency exchange outlets. There really isn’t a great deal to photograph here - once you’ve seen 1/4 of the street, you’ve pretty much seen everything.
