Akasaka

IMG_0273.JPG

I headed off to Akasaka 赤坂 (a commercial district) after work for dinner today.

IMG_0275.JPG
Lots of restaurants and shops in the Akasaka Sacas 赤坂サカス (similar to Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown) Biz Tower.

IMG_0279.JPG
Going for this one: Singapore Hainan Chi-fan. I want my chicken rice!

IMG_0299.JPG
It’s a really tiny place - kinda like a mini Asian-cafe kinda thing.

IMG_0291.JPG
Counter seats. But they don’t overlook the kitchen like in some Japanese restaurants.

IMG_0282.JPG
The restaurant is small hence the menu is small. I’d say the place probably fits around 18 people, max.

IMG_0289.JPG
Mango juice - the crap stuff, though.

IMG_0292.JPG
Butter king prawns!

IMG_0294.JPG
Phwoar! Hainanese chicken rice! I’m pretty stoked with the quality: this is actually VERY good! Not enough of it, though…

IMG_0270.JPG
A stroll around Akasaka Sacas 赤坂サカス.

IMG_0305.JPG
More restaurants - better looking ones.

IMG_0307.JPG
Spliffy sitting areas.

IMG_0302.JPG
LCD stairs leading up to TBS (TV channel).

Some have asked why I don’t have pics of myself on the blog. Well, this is me if you really wanted to see… hahahahaha.

Eddie, if you haven’t gone to the one behind the Tsutaya in Roppongi Hills, that’s a great place for chicken rice as well. Lots more seats too.

Great pics of the food, then you go and spoil it all by taking a pic of yourself with a ‘man-bag’! hahahahahaha

Tried to book for 2 Friday nights at one time but both days were fully booked. They were consecutive Fridays too (but the Ebisu branch).
