Saw Quantum of Solace in HK
Because of the ridiculously early flight back to Tokyo from Hong Kong, I had to leave the hotel at like 5:45am therefore I decided not to sleep at all that night. This is because I am afraid of flying therefore by staying up all night, I would be able to sleep through the whole four hour flight journey, so I thought. Turned out I was only able to sleep for an hour on the plane and spent the following three hours with a splitting headache. Doh!
Anyway, to kill time that night, I decided to watch the late night screening of James Bond Quantum of Solace since the cinema was just downstairs from the hotel… and … this movie isn’t scheduled to start screening in Japan until the end of January 2009!
So, what did I think of the movie? Erm… James Bond gets like 20 lines or so in the entire movie. Yep, that’s right. There is very little dialogue. Just action, action, action, action.
That’s not to say it is a bad movie. It was actually pretty enjoyable. Just too much over-the-top actions for my liking. Casino Royale still rules.
