NEC PC Engine console

This little 8-bit box produced graphics which looked like 16-bit. I remember I so wanted one of these but by the time I had the chance to get one, the 16-bit Sega Mega-Drive came out, so I bought one of those instead. Later on, I did get to own the hand-held version thho, the PC Engine GT (which I regret selling).

I like the idea and execution of this PolarClock screensaver but I ain’t sure I dig the colour scheme.
2 commentsFAQ page

Put up an FAQ page (top right) because I get asked certain questions over and over. Lost count of how many emails I’ve had to reply to with the same old answers. Hopefully with the FAQ page, I will get asked less of the same questions. At the very least, I can just reply with the link to the page rather than type out lengthy emails.
Some answers may not be up-to-date or plain wrong. Feel free to correct me…

4G cellphone frequencies
Can’t wait!!
The first steps towards the next generation of mobile phones have been taken with the allocation of new frequency bands for cellphones by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
Using Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology, the phones are hoped to provide communication speeds rivaling optical communication. Download speeds will be 30 times faster and upload speeds 100 times faster than current third generation (3G) cell phones.
While initially planning to assign frequency bands to just three carriers, the ministry decided to allow four telcos — NTT Docomo, KDDI, Softbank Mobile and Emobile — to apply. Applications will be taken from April, and approved by June.
The first 4G phones themselves are slated to hit shelves in 2010 at the earliest.
