Sony launches ‘world’s lightest’ 8-inch notebook (not a netbook), the VAIO type P.
- 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1,600-by-768-pixel
- Weighs only 634g
The above two points alone are pretty darn mind-boggling impressive, if you’re asking me!
Sony definitely has the ‘sexiest’ notebook design with this (shame that it runs Windows tho) whereas Apple’s unibody MacBook Pro has the ‘sleekest’ industrial design (Apple sucks when it comes to weight and battery life tho).
All-in-all, I’m very impressed with the weight and the screen’s pixel density… and I absolutely adore the industrial design of this VAIO type P.

Indeed very nice. The resolution at that size is impressive..I might break down and get one.
