The new iPod shuffle (2009)

It’s the ’1,000 songs’ business again from Apple.
This new iPod shuffle has an even more super-minimalistic design and is even smaller thanks to the fact that the thing has no control buttons on it – it is controlled via the new remote earphones. Besides that, the thing packs 4GB of memory, stores 1,000 songs, comes in silver or black, it speaks the song/artist/playlist names to you, and erm… erm… it’s an iPod shuffle.
Do I like it? Yes, I do. The flat design thrills me.
Will I buy one? Maybe…

Makers of iPod accessories are probably rubbing their hands already. “Want to use your existing earbuds with the new shuffle? Buy our controller adaptor today!”
Hey Eddie, you might be interested in this tidbit: http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/03/11/1526209 – I certainly am (: If they could make a laptop with as much awesomeness as the iPhone I’m sure it’d be very popular.
