Head sculpt and lifelike appearance i will give my 2 cents to Hottoys when it comes to The Dark Knight thing, just to these two figures in comparison. Since Medicom has lots of great figures also to boast for. At the end of the day these two manufacturers Hottoys and Medicom are surely both winners.

Hey Sadi

I'm good. And yourself?
I've seen you asking this question on MediBoard on a good few forum pages. I guess you got no reply because I doubt anyone knows how to answer your questions, which are rather tricky and anal. Anyway, I'll try:

"articulation on it, Is it durable all over?"
Erm... it all seems as durable as HT body. But of course, the more you bend and twist the limbs, the more loose they will become over time.

"what have they changed on the internal body chassis? "
No idea, man. This is my first Medicom RAH figure. Besides, there is no way you can remove the batsuit to check without ripping it apart.

"DID THEY GET THE WAIST AREA RESOLVED OFFERING THE SAME waste articulation as the HT TT?"
Again, no idea. You should keep in mind, both HT and Medicom Batman have a sealed rubber suit which will basically restrict any kind of movement on the waist, legs, arms, etc.

@ cavell
I'm all for an improved Bats from HT under the DX brand

@ retaane
Hmmm.... I'm not sure this is even an argument for getting the Medicom

@ PolishTank
Yes, Medicom does resemble the onscreen Batman more than HT does

@ Edward
You know, those who do not own both figures but praises only the one they own... they're the type that are nuts. You don't happen to be one of these nuts who own only one figure do you, kid?

@ Jinwolves
HT has definitely lost in terms of screen-accuracy but things like build quality, life-like, etc., HT is better

@ BatsUSA
Right on

I have both Medicom and Hot Toys DK and Eddie is right on - positives and negatives with both.

Overall - the Hot Toys figure is more solid - shows better craftsmanship - and the small details are right (for small detail example, which may be a bit picky, Batman's glove "fins" on HT version are spot on - with spaces at the tips like in the movie). The shoulder protectors are also glued on in the Medicom version, which allows for greater movement, but can be a bit odd looking in some poses. Medicom is less solid but it does get the "movie look" more closely than HT - colors, thinner chest and arms, etc. The Medicom version is more accurate in the costume - especially the pants and chest area. But, while the hot toys figure has rubber pants and is solidly built around the legs, the Medicom version has cotton stuffed in the pants to give them shape...which impacts movement and makes the figure feel cheaper in my opinion. The hands on the Medicom version do change out easier than the HT version, again in my opinion. Hot toys gets a plus for accessories - an additional Bale head. Medicom is just the figure with the grapel gun and two batarangs.

As Eddie says, choosing which one to buy just depends on what you're looking for. I don't think you can lose with either.

Well, obviously Hot Toys gets a lot of praise for their figure, but to be honest: I like the Medicom version much better. The face is 100% Bale on the Medicom figure, on the Hot Toys version it looks nothing like Bale. The chest on the Hot Toys version is waaay to big. It looks awful to me. I guess in terms of build quality the Hot Toys one is better, but onscreen-likeness is so much more important to me and the way I see it, Medicom beats Hot Toys in this category by far. The only thing I don't like about the Medicom figure is the sculpting of back of the head, it looks a bit odd. But the face, the body proportions and the overall likeness is so much more like Batman from TDK.
