ITTS 2009: Hot Toys exhibition wrap up
Yep, folks. Sadly, that’s all there is to the Hot Toys stuff at this year’s International Tokyo Toy Show. Were you impressed by the amount of stuff Hot Toys had and announced?
From the massive amount of incoming links/hits to my site from various toy forums, it is very clear what you guys are most excited about: the MARVEL LICENSE which Hot Toys has acquired. And rightly so should you all be excited because the characters from the Marvel Universe are some of the best characters ever created. Like every one of you, I’ve been longing for a movie accurate Spider-Man figure. The ones produced by Medicom are a little too on the cartoon side for me. Medicom figures just lack that bit of life-like quality to it which is probably fine for some collectors because the quality of the figures are genuinely good. But for me, probably one of the most anal people ever to walk this planet, I prefer something more life-like and accurate on my shelf.
Anyway, I got what I went for at the show: to see the Hot Toys MMS DX Batman with my very own eyes. Although not all that accurate, I cannot be more happy with it – very good quality, life like qualities, interchangeable faces, etc. You’re not gonna get better than this until say… Hot Toys gives us a MMS DX SXi (or whatever) Batman in a few months time.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the entries. Now I can go back to posting photos of my awesomely cute bunny again
(To those asking for the HT brochures: you’ve all been beaten to it. I’ve given both to Snake Eater from Mediworld)

MMS DX SXi Batman? I’m assuming you’re being funny. Please tell me you are. I’ve already bought all Dark Knight Hot Toys products. No More!
Yeah, I wanted to check out the new ones.
There are pics around on other sites, but you take very nice & clear close-up shots.
Shame they didn’t have much to show for the Marvel universe. Although…if they ever make a gambit, that’d be interesting!
But…since the Marvel universe is cartoony and not very life like, I wonder how HT are gonna do each character. Hopefully not like the crappy movies
@ Ed
Heres some nice ones:

Hi Eddie nice pictures, i have a question why the head sculpt of the MJ from Thriller is totally different from the one Hot Toys is announcing on they’re Web page???
@ Richard
Sometimes due to the urgency of a product announcement, HT has to use whatever sculpt they have at the time. Sometimes HT re-works their sculpts if they’re not happy with it or if fans complain.
MJ Thriller doesn’t come out till December. Until then, HT has the time to make adjustments. So, what you see in my pics may not be identical to what you will be getting in December.
