Dr. Slump Arale-chan socks
These Dr. Slump Arale-chan socks are awesome! I’ll have to get them some day… whether I’d wear them is another matter…

Here comes James Cameron’s next movie, AVATAR! Man, god knows how long I’ve been waiting for another James Cameron sci-fi movie. The guy practically disappeared after making Titanic. OK, not really – he made a good few underwater adventure documentaries since but that was about it, really. With this new movie of his, it is said to revolutionise film making and is already shaping up to be one of the most beautiful movies ever. Can’t wait to see it in December. Checkout the trailer.

The new slim PS3 – I think it is finally time I got myself one along with a 40″ Sony Bravia or Sharp Aquos TV (since TVs are dirt cheap now)…
3 commentsHACHI

Went to watch HACHI the other day. For those that don’t know, the movie is based on a famous Japanese dog called, Hachiko, who lived in the 1920s-30s in Tokyo. To keep it real brief and real short: Hachiko was owned by a professor from the University of Tokyo. Hachiko would go to Shibuya station and wait for his owners return (from work) on a daily basis. One day, the professor had a heart attack/stroke while on duty and died. Hachiko continued to return to Shibuya station daily for the next 9 years of his life in hope that his owner would return. Due to Hachiko’s loyality and story, a statue of him was erected at Shibuya station in the 1930s which still stands today (hotspot for meeting).
So, from all this, Hollywood decides to bring this to the big screen: HACHI starring Richard Gere.
3 commentsSteve Jobs: The man who polished Apple

A Times Online article about Steve Jobs that Apple apparently attempted to suppress. It’s a pretty good read on the guy who co-foundered, saved and made Apple what it is today.
I’m pretty brutal and happen to be an asshole too, why aren’t I a multi-billionaire?
Now, I need an article like this on Jonathan Ive…
No commentsTamago ice
Tamago means ‘egg’ in English. So obviously, tamago ice means ‘egg ice cream’. In this case, it is not referring to the flavour of the ice cream but more of what the shape resembles. Now, let’s see if it does indeed look like an egg:
5 commentsKurara to the rescue!
Time to showcase some talent here. Cavell who is a reader from Canada (whom I met 2 months ago in HK) drew this awesome digital pic of Kurara in the space of a few hours.
3 commentsApple tablet

The Apple rumour mill is on fire again… this time, the long awaited Apple tablet. Rumour mongers have been pretty accurate these last few years regarding new product launches and when a rumour heats up like this, they’ve been pretty accurate. And lets face it, the iPhone and iPod touch has been around for a while now, is it really that hard to believe that a larger version is just around the corner? Come on, it’s just a matter of time (component price drop).
No commentsHelveticons

Helveticons is fantastic set of web and application interface icons. This is the kinda design I get orgasms over: simple, flat – pure elegance. But this kinda simplicity and elegance comes at a price: US$279.
