Paul Smith’s flagship store, London

Paul Smith, London

… in London’s Covent Garden (actually, I think the Notting Hill store is now the flagship store). Five stores in a row – all interconnected inside. Shame I didn’t see the man himself this time (saw him once before in 2005 at his store between Harajuku and Shibuya).

Paul Smith for Evian

Yep, a collaboration between British fashion designer, Sir Paul Smith and Evian water. The result? Well, of course a Paul Smith designed bottle! The infamous coloured stripes will now be making an appearance on the Evian bottles.

The product will go on sale from October 31st (tomorrow) until Christmas and will be in limited amounts. Price is approx. US$15. Oh, and there are 5 different coloured bottle caps to collect…

London’s Chinatown

London China Town

The gateway to London’s Chinatown. Actually, just one of the entrances. The arch is pretty crap, though – looks like it is made from coloured matches.

Waa taa!

BIg Bad Bruce

Was walking from Trafalgar Square towards Leicester Square when I heard loud screams of “Waa Taa” from across the road. When I looked over, I saw a massive walking Bruce Lee which was promoting a gym (I think).

Piccadilly Circus, London

Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus is a famous road junction and public space of London’s West End with it’s massive signs. I used to call this place the ‘Coca-Cola sign place’ but that has now changed. It is mostly digital screens now and the old advertisers (Coca-Cola, McDonalds, etc.) seems to have gone besides Sanyo and TDK. Regent Street is that road to the left.

Oxford Street, London

Oxford Street

Another major shopping street. More mainstream shops here unlilke Regent Street where there are more expensive ones. Both streets cross each other – chicks can spend ages here…

Amsterdam

Amsterdam Centraal

My flight to England was not a direct flight and required me to transfer in Amsterdam. Since I had a few hours to spare (waiting time), I thought I’d get out and see a bit of the city (Amsterdam Centraal). I had just about enough time for some grub and a canal cruise.
