Harrods, London
The Harrods motto: Omnia Omnibus Ubique — All Things for All People, Everywhere.
This is the place where my friend picked up a small plastic hair-clip that she liked only to realise the price tag was £389. That is US$646, JP¥58,138! No, it is not diamond studded nor gold plated (unless the spring is gold) – just a plain plastic hair-clip. So much for All Things for All People. Only Victoria Beckham shops here…
Anyway, Harrods is a world famous department store located in Knightsbridge, London, and is one of the largest department stores in the world with over one million square feet (90,000 m2) of selling space in over 330 departments.
I didn’t checkout every department nor every floor (not that interested and can’t afford anything, anyway). I spent more time in the sourvenirs sections. Here are a few pics I bothered to take:

One of Harrod’s mascot is a bear. Lots of bear merchandises.

Memorial for Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed. If you live under a rock, Dodi Fayed is the son of Mohamed Al Fayed, the multi-millionaire owner of Harrods.

Chocolate section. Didn’t buy anything, I think.

Tea section. Bought quite a bit of tea for souvenirs.

Xmas decoration section. It was rather large. Each section had a different colour with matching coloured products. Colours include: white, green, red, etc.

Gift section. A lot of everything is concentrated here: tea, bear stuff, shortbread, cakes, bags, toys, etc. I spent the most amount of time here.

I really like this series of packaging illustrations. Simple and stylised yet very traditional.

I especially liek this illustration. Oozes traditionally stylised hipness.
