Come see our latest creation

Well, well, well… Apple finally sent out email invites to journalists for a special event on 27th January. Seems like we’re about to finally see the Apple Tablet computer that’s been rumoured for what seems like a century now.

I guess by now, every single person on the face of this planet would have a pretty good idea of what the device is going to look like: large, flat and shiny. In short, an oversized iPod touch.

Will it look like this artists impression?

And as usual with most-things-Apple, the device will probably not be able to do half of what the other tablet PCs are capable of BUT what it can do, it can do frikkin’ well. Plus, throw in all those talented AppStore developers and its pretty much guaranteed that the device will be a winner

On a personal note, I don’t need an Apple tablet. It will obviously never run the graphics programs I use and nor will I be using it for email/websurfing (it’s intended purpose) because I have my iPhone 3GS for that. But something horribly tells me that I’d be getting an Apple tablet as soon as it hits the shelves…

… and that would suck big time considering I have other plans on how to spend my hard earned cash!

    Yeah, I think I’m probably gonna stand in line on day one too. ^^;

    I am looking forward to an iPhone 4 with multi-tasking (: or so I hope. I don’t have an iPhone because of a dislike for AT&T, which is the only provider in the US. So I am also waiting for them to open up to other vendors; Verizon has been the rumor.

    I think most people don’t even care. Just geeks like us.

    You said you wouldn’t get an iPhone either because of Softbank but look what happened! Let’s wait and see…
