Batman DX arrived!
Both my DX Batmans arrived this morning but I haven’t really had the time to mess with them. Anyway, just some quick iPhone snaps…
Hot Toys MMS DX Batman – DEFECTS
This figure was released in Hong Kong during the last few days of 2009 and problems have plaqued it’s release ever since (namely, warped heads and peeling paint). Despite HT guaranteeing that problems have been solved and that international deliveries would be fine, that is far from the truth because my figures (Japan release) also have problems. Here are my problems:
1. One of the figure constantly has oil seeping through onto the armour (stomach abs).
2. One of the sonar vision heads has warped ears
3. That same head has some bad paint job on the nose
4. One of the chest armours has dried glue on the chest piece
(the last 2 points are not major but definitely ruins it a bit).

Fantastic! Now my Batman’s left arm, the kevlar pads, is also oozing oil!
Also, I managed to separate the body suit from the pants. No effort required, just pull a little and the glue comes loose. Know what the freaky thing is? Behind the belly abs, it is absolutely dry! This mean, the rubber itself is dispensing oil!

I like the glowy look of the eyes, and the chin isn’t too bad too!

When you have time to check can you tell me whether you had the warped sonar head and any other defects that you noticed?
