Yep, took me over 9 months to send my faulty iMac in for repair (it’s hard to part with your computer, even for only a day. Was in denial all this time).
Apple collected my iMac last Wednesday 30th June at 20:15pm and it had returned to me on Saturday 3rd July at 20:50pm complete with a new fan, new mother board, new hard drive and a new screen (don’t ask why they replaced so many parts. I thought it was only a dead fan issue I had. Maybe the inability to cool itself caused the heat to damage other parts?). In short, the technicians probably only spent one day with it! Talk about fast service!

Well, what can I say? This really is one awesome piece of engineering. The industrial design is drop-dead gorgeous. And the screen… just as Steve Jobs claimed: the pixel density is so high and fine, it’s just like fine print.

Believe me, I didn’t intend to have 3 Apple related entries in a row. Honest! It just happened this way. I know, I know, I’m gonna appear as a bigger Mac-nerd than I already appear to be.
Anyway, my PowerMac G5 at work died on me this morning and by the time I got back after lunch, our IT dude was already setting up my new machine. Poor chap carried it back from Apple Store Shibuya.

Saw the new 2010 Mac mini this evening. Looks much better in the renders than in real life. I think it’s just a tad too flat, the lines…

iPhone 4 ordered
Yep, that’s right folks! I ordered the iPhone 4 today (pre-order day) like I vowed I would. 32GB in black it is (stated on the left side of the image). Btw, SoftBank in Omotesando (and probably other dealers) are not taking orders for the white model because they do not know if Apple are even gonna deliver them on day one (June 24th).
