Well, I guess this is not news anymore since this was announced at the MacWorld 2008 event, but anyway… it seems many iPod touch owners are not happy about the $20 charge for the five applications (mail, maps, weather, notes and stocks) and the customisable homescreen now made available . These softwares, excpet the customisable homescreen, shipped with the iPhone on launch but was omitted for the iPod touch for obvious reasons. Now that Apple finally decides to release them for the iPod touch, they’re asking for money for it!

It’s been a while since I’ve raved (and/or bitched) about an Apple product. As stated throughout this blog, I’ve been somewhat disappointed with Apple designs for the last few years due to the lack of major cosmetic changes (the MacBook Pro and PowerMac enclosure designs have been around for 5 years now despite having been slightly tweaked here and there) and the fact that the designs have become pretty predictable (there is only so far you can go with ’simplicity’)…
