… featuring Bob Dylan. This is the most subtle iPod ad to date. I like it!

Ooooops! Forgot about the Mac

macpro_sml.jpgHahahahaha… I can’t believe I totally forgot about the Mac Pro. Usually, when Apple releases a new product, I would go to see it in a shop as soon as it arrives on our shores. But this time, the Nikon D80’s announcement totally overshadowed the Mac Pro for me. I mean, I literally forgot the Mac pro existed until I accidently came across it today in Shinjuku… hahahahahaha! I think the reasons being: 1) Recent Macs didn’t get new enclosure designs. Since Macs have moved to Intel CPUs, I believe new enclosures are totally justifiable across the whole line of Intel Macs. So, yeah, I’m disappointed in this department. 2) There is no native Adobe CS2 for Intel Macs. Basically, I live on Photoshop. Without it, an Intel Mac is meaningless no matter how fast they claim to be. 3) I can’t afford a new computer at the moment.

Apple Mac Pro

macpro1.jpgDarn! Apple pulling that sh*t again ! Using the same darn enclosures (G5) for the new Mac Pro just like what they did with the MacBook Pro (although, slight modifications are made). Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it’s great that they’re using the Xeon (Woodcrest) CPUs instead of the Core 2 Duo (Conroe) and that there is now actually much more internal space for kitting it out with HDs, etc., etc. But still, as a designer and Mac user, I get most of my thrills from the look of the industrial designs! Sigh, no orgasms for me then! I’m seriously bummed!

Btw, what’s with the standard configuration’s graphics board? Isn’t that suppose to be jarg?

Wireless Mighty Mouse

mmouse.jpgFinally, after a year, Apple has released the much wanted wireless Mighty Mouse. I wonder if this will also be a big hit like the original Mighty Mouse when it came out last year. It was like, “Wow! An original Apple mouse with multi-buttons!”. So yeah, I was aching for one.

Back then, I remember I went to a good few dealers when it was released and every dealer told me they had sold out literally as soon as they got them in. I think it took 2 weeks before I finally got my hands on one. And once I did, it took me a while to get used to the darn thing. Because of the touch sensors, your fingers had to be placed in the right place otherwise the buttons wouldn’t respond properly. I didn’t like it that much back then but it has since grown on me. I don’t think I can be without it now.

Anyway, I already have 2 wired Mighty Mouses and I see no real need for a wireless one right now therefore I’m gonna give it a miss… for now ;)
