New Sony Bravia advert
Remember the mind-blowing CG-free Sony Bravia Adverts from 2005 and 2006 (I blogged about them back then)? You know, the one with millions of colourful bouncy balls pouring down the roads of San Francisco (2005)? Or the one with gallons of paint bursting all over an estate in Glasgow (2006)? If you’ve never seen either of them, that is worse than not having seen Star Wars, period!
Well, seems like the creative minds over at Fallon are preparing for the next Sony Bravia assault - this time featuring hundreds of colourful Play-Doh/Plasticine bunnies in New York! No idea if filming has wrapped up or still ongoing but I cannot wait to see the finished product! October 2007, let the countdown begin!
1 commentBatman: Help Me

A short 3D Batman animation titled, Help Me, by Isaak Fernandez Rodriguez containing all the visual approaches which tickles my fancies (simplistic, minimalist, etc.). Great stuff!
2 commentsDrum Machine

I’ve already blogged about this animation a few years back on my old site but because I absolutely love it (even as of today), I decided to mention about it again here for those who have missed it.
2 commentsLondon 2012 logo: Iconic or awful?
Following yesterday’s revealing of the upcoming London 2012 Olmpic game’s logo design, BBC has setup this page allowing readers to submit their feedback regarding what they think of the logo design. Seems like there is a lot of public and design industry debate going on right now in England. And some of the comments, OUCH!
And, it is not hard to see why. Apparently, Wolff Olins brand/design agency spent a year on this (of course not just on this one design, probably a good few selections) and charged £400,000 (that is approx. Euro590,448 / US$796,558 / JP¥96,906,481) of tax-payers money for it. That’s a heck of a lot of money for a logo considering the money could be spent more usefully on things such as the poor NHS (National Health Service), pensioner housing, etc., (but there will always be arguments like this when tax payer’s money are in question).
7 commentsLondon 2012 Olympic logo

Well, today the London 2012 Olympic games logo design is revealed and will continue to evolve for the next few years. It looks pretty fresh, simplistic and contemporary but I really don’t know if I like it or not and nor do I know what it is trying to say/how to interpret the thing. Oh well, it’ll probably grow on me as time goes by….
3 commentsPantone folder icons
I’ve been rooting through my hard drive for the last day or two and backing up data just in case this silly iMac decides to suddenly die on me. Totally forgot I even had these cool Mac OSX folder icons until now. So glad I found them again (can’t remember where I downloaded them from either, sorry). Don’t you just love Pantone?
2 commentsGROOVE ARMADA

Groove Armada is the latest creation by Paris based, Pleix, a virtual community of digital artists. Some are 3D artists, some others are musicians or graphic designers. And I must say, the stuff produced are top-notch in creativity and style! Great stuff!
2 commentsUlala as my logo

Despite being educated as a graphic designer, I have never actually created a symbol for myself. Reason being, as a graphic designer, we are always tied to concept and theme (which I will not go into). This means, at the very least, my logo has to say what I do and who I am, etc.
5 commentsTMNT official website

A pretty decent and atmospheric website (amid a bit dark and heavy) for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG movie…
No commentsPANTONE coloured cellphones

… the 812SH by Sharp on SoftBank. Quite frankly speaking, nothing about this cellphone tickles my fancies but being a designer, of course I’m attracted by the available 20 Pantone colours (color matching system). I guess they will only look good if you have all 20 displayed side-by-side like the image above. Whereas, each one by itself, hmmmmmm…
