Well, what can I say? This really is one awesome piece of engineering. The industrial design is drop-dead gorgeous. And the screen… just as Steve Jobs claimed: the pixel density is so high and fine, it’s just like fine print.

Believe me, I didn’t intend to have 3 Apple related entries in a row. Honest! It just happened this way. I know, I know, I’m gonna appear as a bigger Mac-nerd than I already appear to be.
Anyway, my PowerMac G5 at work died on me this morning and by the time I got back after lunch, our IT dude was already setting up my new machine. Poor chap carried it back from Apple Store Shibuya.

Potato chips handler
… by Takara Tomy. It’s not the first time I’ve come across this invention during my last decade here in Tokyo. Only reason it got my attention this time round is because… I can see myself using this more than ever! Whether you know or not, I lurv crisps (aka. potato chips in English. Real English) and now that I have an iPad (and a brand spanking new iPhone 4 coming on 24th), it would be absolutely unacceptable in the name of god to get grease on the screens of these wonderful devices from… a greasy finger.
At only ¥699, I got nothing to loose 
iPhone 4 ordered
Yep, that’s right folks! I ordered the iPhone 4 today (pre-order day) like I vowed I would. 32GB in black it is (stated on the left side of the image). Btw, SoftBank in Omotesando (and probably other dealers) are not taking orders for the white model because they do not know if Apple are even gonna deliver them on day one (June 24th).
