No Dark Knight in Japan, yet

The Dark Knight posters have gone back up at Shibuya’s Tokyu department store again after briefly showing up about a month ago for a week. Although the movie started screening across most of the globe since yesterday, we in Japan won’t get to see it for another 3 frikkin’ weeks!!

Phwoaaaaaaar… what a gorgeous phone! As we all know, the iPhone 3G came out today in Tokyo (and many other countries) and that a crazy load of folks camped out overnight (and longer) at the flagship SoftBank store in Omotesando just so they can secure themselves a unit. Approx. 1,500 people camped out, to be exact. Needless to say, the iPhone 3G is sold out. Of that 1,500 or so, a handful happen to be my friends whom have all pretty much got themselves a brand spanking new iPhone.

… Mie is in town again and finally got to catch up with her. Of the last 10 times she visited Tokyo for work, this is probably only the second time I got to see her because I don’t usually know her schedule. One day out of the blue I would get a message saying, “Hey Eddie, I’m in Tokyo”. Then the next message I would get would be, “Hey Eddie, I’m leaving today”. Yeah… definitely something like that.

Seems like the Metal Gear Solid 4 PREMIUM PACK with the -HAGANE- PS3 unit isn’t all that rare, afterall. Can be readily picked up at local game stores.
Was super tempted to get one but managed to fight off the lust.

As if having a few days to live as a butterfly is not sad enough, this little fella cannot even fly. For whatever reason, the damage to this butterfly’s wings seem symmetrical - how the top of the left wing has dried up and curled is reflected literally identically to the right wing.
4 commentsWow, what a bargain

… for a 40GB PS3 at Tsutaya in Shibuya. The price sign says:
Recommended retail price: ¥39,980
Our price: ¥39,979
That’s a saving of ¥1 which is equivalent to US$ ‘1 cent’ and UK£ ‘.5 pence’. How awesome is that?!

… as you can see from the pics, fried octopus and salad… and chips. Hahahahaha, this is about as healthy-eating as it gets for me…
