Pantone folder icons
I’ve been rooting through my hard drive for the last day or two and backing up data just in case this silly iMac decides to suddenly die on me. Totally forgot I even had these cool Mac OSX folder icons until now. So glad I found them again (can’t remember where I downloaded them from either, sorry). Don’t you just love Pantone?
2 commentsWhat’s “Star Wars” Again? This Guy Never Saw It
The title is indeed referring to moi and it is the title belonging to a ‘Star Wars 30th Anniversary interview‘ which I recently did for E! Online (thanks Joal).
Here’s my original blog entry which somehow got the interview started.
29 commentsChampions of Europe 2007

Well, revenge is gained and a big congrats to AC Milan (2-1). They didn’t get this far with luck, they had all the skills and qualities required. A totally magnificent team that deserves the glory to be Champions of Europe for the seventh time. Congratulazioni!
3 commentsAyu X Hello Kitty products
Hello, Hello Kitty fans, what do we have here for you? Japan’s hottest pop-diva, Hamasaki Ayumi (although she’s slowly giving ground to Koda Kumi), in a special collaboration with Sanrio, the company famous for their cute little characters (namely, Hello Kitty).
The collaboration brings us a digicam with Ayu’s logo printed on the face-plate along with the famous Kitty lurking from behind (the official collaboration logo). This special camera is of course, limited, and will be available on June 18 (I think fan club members can get it earlier, not sure). It is basically the 7.2mp Panasonic DMC-FX30 in white (pretty decent cam), comes bundled with a special carry case with the Ayu-Kitty logo embossed, and the box it comes in is… well… the normal cardboard box with the exception of the Ayu-Kitty logo. All this will set you back ¥54,600.
1 commentBaby crabs
I was in the supermarket just before and came across these wrapped baby crabs. And boy were they super-active! Being in Japan, of course I get to see lots of fresh moving seafood here in supermarkets like abalone, larger crabs, shrimps/prawns, shell fishes, etc., but they usually look less active because the trays they are in just about fits them hence they have no space for movement (well, you don’t get much movement from things like abalone anyway).
3 commentsPhotos on Flickr
Starting from May 7th’s entry, I have/will host all my blog pics on Flickr linked to/from my blog. I’ve actually had a Flickr account for a while now but I hardly use it (in the beginning, the usability was horrible. But it got better with each update). By hosting on Flickr, and since I paid for a pro-account, I can have much larger pics on it. Of course, I could if I wanted, have huge pics on my blog server but since it’s my friends server and he is letting me use it for ‘free’ (and he maintains my site too), I just don’t feel so hot about using up a lot of his space. So yeah, all pics on Flickr starting from this month.
3 commentsJust too much promo in Tokyo
Have you had enough of me covering Spidey yet? There’s just so much promo and merchandising stuff going on here, it’s beginning to get to me. Checkout Blister in Tokyo as pictured above. I spotted this life size black Spidey at the entrance of the store before I was even anywhere near the place. As I got closer, the Spidey trailer, posters and toys came into focus from behind the statue. As soon as I stepped into the store, to my horror, the whole floor is decked out with Spidey stuff! And I mean the ‘whole floor’! Not just Spider-Man 3 merchandises, but also stuff from Spidey 1 and 2, comic version Spidey stuff, 80’s Spidey toys, Spidey candy, etc., etc. You name it, they have it.
4 commentsWinding up my nephew
Back home in England, my sister’s youngest kid is pretty hyped up about the Spider-Man 3 movie and has been dying to see it but England will not get the movie until May 4th, the same release date as the US.
Since I’ve already seen the movie and am well aware that he is excited about it and can’t wait for its release, I decided to mess with him by making something up about the movie and fed it to him as a spoiler. As predicted, he totally didn’t want to know about the movie and threw a big fit! Hahahahaha! Poor kid… he makes me laugh sometimes…
Here’s our chat transcript (warning: contains foul language) :
8 commentsLiverpool Vs AC Milan again

… in the finals for the 2007 Champions League! During the Champions League final in 2005, AC Milan got totally humiliated for getting trashed by Liverpool who were actually 3 goals down but fought back to claim the title! No doubt, that must have been hard to swallow and AC Milan must have been praying for a chance to revenge ever since. Well, May 23…
2 commentsHelp: iMac G5 dozing off!
I have a 20-inch iMac G5 2.1GHz (iSight) and for the last two days, the computer just goes into sleep mode while I’m frikkin’ working on it! Usually, sleep kicks in if the computer has not been active for about 1 hour, a setting I always had.
But for the last day or two, sleep kicks in whenever it feels like! It happened twice just now, within 3 minutes apart. Both times while in the middle of saving a file! I’ve already repaired permissions and the disk but it didn’t solve the problem (I’ve also repaired the permissions through ‘Terminal’ (sudo diskutil repairPermissions /) rather than just through the ‘Disk Utility’ app).
I found a few topics on the net regarding this problem but there seems to be no solution! People have even sent in their Macs to have the logic board replaced, etc., to no avail! Btw, my warranty has ran out therefore sending it in and paying to get it repaired is not ideal especially considering it doesn’t fix the problem!
Any solutions? Or point me to a website that has? Thanks in advance!
