Spider-Man 3 DVD

… supposedly launches tomorrow but most shops started to sell them today and guess who picked up a copy? There are actually quite a few bundles on offer: the standard 2-disc DVD (the one I bought since I already own the previous two movies), DVD trilogy set, 2-disc DVD figure set (Spidey and black Spidey figures), SideShow Collectibles DVD trilogy set which comes with high quality SideShow statues (bust) of Spidey and black Spidey, and lastly there is the Blu-ray trilogy set.
1 commentNew ‘Dark Knight’ pics

We are receiving many e-mails from you, the fans, about new photos that have turned up from The Dark Knight. The photos also turned up on our message boards yesterday and Warner Bros. Pictures requested us to remove them from the site, which we have done. Although they looked excellent, we won’t be posting or linking to them on the site.
Superhero Hype!
August 17, 2007
Well, the very same images have practically shown up everywhere else
… enjoy!
(Note: images may or may not contain spoilers. Don’t say you weren’t warned!)
Finally saw Transformers
Transformers finally started screening here in Tokyo yesterday. Thats like a whole month after US! It was a long wait indeed especially after reading all those rave reviews from US and UK websites.
As I’ve mentioned before, I had literally zero faith in the movie even back in the days when it was first announced. Despite all the rave reviews after the movie was released, I still prevented myself from expecting too much. Afterall, I expected too much from Spider-Man 3, it kinda hurt when I finally got to see it.
5 commentsThe Dark Knight teaser
The first teaser trailer for the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, showed up today.
Basically, there is no footage from the film whatsoever in the teaser - just graphics of the bat-emblem slowly being blasted apart by a bright beam from behind with the Joker card showing up at end. Although there is no footage, we do get to hear some dialogue between Bruce Wayne and Alfred. And… the Joker! Heath Ledger (the new Joker) actually sounds a little like Jack Nicholson playing the same character 20 years ago, but with an accent that sounds like a Texan. Dunno whats with the accent but the new Joker does sound rather menacing. And his laugh at the end sounds spot on!

A movie based on one of my beliefs - the elusive Loch Ness Monster, Nessie!
Clearly a fantasy movie for kids (and families), this movie is based on the novel by the author of Babe and is brought to us by the people who brought us The Chronicles of Narnia two years ago.
The Water Horse story centers around a lonely boy who finds a mysterious egg on the shores of a Scottish loch which later hatches the elusive monster. When the monster begins to grow at a rapid pace, making the secret harder to keep, the young boy has to do some seriously quick thinking if he is to keep his newfound friend out of the hands of research scientists and get it back into the acquatic environment in which it thrives.

This mysterious secret project, a movie produced by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Mission Impossible 3, Lost, etc), has had quite a bit of buzz ever since the teaser was first shown with Transformers when it opened in theaters on July 3rd.
The numbers, 1-18-08, which seems like the title, is actually nothing more than just the release date. There is currently no title for the movie, no cast list and nor is there a synopsis. Even the official website is pretty empty right now besides the odd few drag-able pictures….
4 commentsThe new Batsuit
The new Batsuit for the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, was revealed in the latest issue of the Entertainment Weekly magazine. The costume designer, Lindy Hemming, also gets a chance to talk about the new suit’s features.
Sometimes, I really wonder why the f* can’t the movie makers just leave the Batsuit alone? This question of mine pretty much sums up the fact that I do not like the new Batsuit. Can you blame me, though? Just take a look at the new batsuit. Does it or does it not remind you of the horrible alternative Batsuits that Val Kilmer/George Clooney wore near the end of the Batman Forever/Batman and Robin movies?

No commentsI Am Legend
Yes, indeed I am a living legend! Hahahaha… kidding! ‘I Am Legend‘ is actually the name of Will Smith’s new movie (trailer here) .
I’ve been a big fan of Will Smiths’ dating back to the early 90s ever since he played the streetwise teenager from West Philadelphia in the popular American tv comedy sitcom, ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘. He was just hilarious in the comedy and everything he did just cracked me up. His virgin cousin (in the drama), Carlton, is also darn funny too. Boy, did I love the show back in the good old school days…
Since then, I’ve pretty much seen most of Will Smith’s hit movies. Some good, some bad, but his acting was always top-notch. The synopsis for ‘I Am Legend’ (below) pretty much sums up that it is a zombie movie… nooooooooooooo! I hate zombie movies! They’re just dumb - a bunch of idiotic looking people walking around silly and chewing on the living, doh!
