Adobe PS Lightroom v1

Since my Adobe Lightroom beta is about to expire, I downloaded the 30-day trial of the final version, Photoshop Lightroom v1.0, for a test run. But so far, I don’t think I’ve come across anything significantly newer and/or better than what was already in the beta version. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great piece of software but I expected a lot more to have been implemented since the last beta release.
Hmmmmm….. US$200 for this or US$300 for Apple’s Aperture. I think I’ll also download the trial version of Aperature and see for myself which is better for my needs…

… (beta) and the full Creative Suit 3 software is what all pro-creative people are waiting for before throwing down their hard earned cash on a Mac-Intel. Although Photoshop CS3 is just beta at this stage, it indicates that we are getting closer to the release of a Mac-Intel native version of Creative Suit!
Damn, I wish I had a Mac-Intel to test the speed of this Photoshop Beta on (I use an iMac G5 2.1Ghz and PowerBook G4 1.5GHz). Oh well, I guess I can just get used to the new user-interface and the new feature sets before the final release comes out next spring (and save some cash for a Mac-Intel). Anyway, I’m gonna have fun from now
Update
Is Photoshop CS3 much faster than CS2 or is it just me?? Man, it is fast. I’m in love already!
Adobe Lightroom
I’ve been using Adobe’s Lightroom since the very first beta release to deal with my photos and have been dying to see the progress of this software ever since.
I bet some of you are surprised as to why a die-hard Apple fan like me is using Adobe’s offering instead of Apple’s Aperature, huh? Well, since Aperature v1 got slammed by everyone who bought it due to it’s sloppyness and the fact that the software wasn’t even finished, I was totally put off. Not to also mention, I only had a PowerBook G4 1.5GHz back then which would probably crawl if Aperature was installed on it.
