Hanging with HD and Tony
Hing Dai is back in town again and I met up with him along with Tony and chilled in Akiba before heading off to Kanda for dinner. Since Ulala became sick, I didn’t leave the house. Obviously, after Ulala passed away, I was quite distressed and I holed myself up in my room mourning the loss. The last week was the longest week I have ever had. It felt more like 3-4 weeks. But anyway, it was great to get out and see people. I feel so much better now.
I see Hing Dai more than I do with friends who live here in Tokyo - the dude is literally here every other month from Aussie. Tony, I last saw maybe 5 months or so ago and before that was like 10 months before. And Tony only lives 35-40 mins train ride away. So yeah, there ya go with this ’seeing Hing Dai often’ thing.
No commentsApartment auto-locks

In Japan (and most of the world), a lot of apartments have something known as ‘auto-lock’ on the entrance of an apartment complex. Basically, it just locks the entrance automatically within 5 seconds once the door closes. To be able to enter the apartment complex you will have to be a resident with either a key or a passcode (usually 4 digits). Auto-locks contribute towards security which gives the residents a piece-of-mind and allows the owner/landlord to charge a little more for their rooms. Anyway, lets forget about the details and pros and cons…
6 commentsNippon Designers exhibition

I went to the Nippon Designers exhibition in Shiodome’s Italia Creative Center, one of only a few exhibitions I’ve ever attended in Tokyo. I’m just not an exhibition kinda guy and despite being from the creative industry, I think I have not visited more than 15 art/design exhibitions ever. In the past, during college and university days, I usually resort to design magazines and art director albums for research and to keep up-to-date with “what’s in” before all this was made available on the web.
