iPhone 3G in Tokyo

Phwoaaaaaaar… what a gorgeous phone! As we all know, the iPhone 3G came out today in Tokyo (and many other countries) and that a crazy load of folks camped out overnight (and longer) at the flagship SoftBank store in Omotesando just so they can secure themselves a unit. Approx. 1,500 people camped out, to be exact. Needless to say, the iPhone 3G is sold out. Of that 1,500 or so, a handful happen to be my friends whom have all pretty much got themselves a brand spanking new iPhone.

While the whole world is all caught up with tomorrow’s launch of the iPhone 3G (a dude here in Tokyo has been camping outside a SoftBank store in Omotesando since Monday!!), I was given a run-through of the HTC Touch Diamond cellphone by TMK, whom I happened to bump into on the train.

Although I’m more than impressed with The Dark Knight line of 1/6th figures from Hot Toys, chances are, I probably wouldn’t get any of them (hopefully) because I know I’d get rather paranoid about displaying and posing them considering how much those figures actually cost and how anal I can be.

Oooo-er! Nikon announces their new full-frame sensor ‘compact-professional’ DSLR, the D700, which sits between their D300 and D3. No doubt, this cam is positioned to take on the yet-to-be-announced upgrade to the Canon 5D (Canon 5D came out nearly 3 years ago therefore expect an updated superior version soon).
