V8 Vantage Roadster

V8_convertible.jpgI only just realised that my beloved car maker, Aston Martin, released the convertible V8 Vantage Roadster. I’m all for a convertible Aston Martin but I’m not sure about it being a version of the V8 Vantage despite it’s beautiful and clean lines. I think a convertible version of the DB9 would be better.

For me personally, I love the Vanquish S for its meaner body lines. That thing is a beast! Actually, the new DBS featured in the new James Bond movie would do nicely for now, Santa… ;) pleeeeeeeeeeeeease……..

V8 Vantage Roadster

The V8 Vantage Roadster embodies the qualities that are integral to Aston Martin: Power, Beauty and Soul. Representing the essence of pure driving pleasure, the new Roadster is a compact sports car that offers an astonishing blend of performance and exhilaration, a car with two distinct personalities: Open and invigorating, or closed, cosseting and protective.

Adobe Photoshop CS3

APS_CS3.jpg… (beta) and the full Creative Suit 3 software is what all pro-creative people are waiting for before throwing down their hard earned cash on a Mac-Intel. Although Photoshop CS3 is just beta at this stage, it indicates that we are getting closer to the release of a Mac-Intel native version of Creative Suit!

Damn, I wish I had a Mac-Intel to test the speed of this Photoshop Beta on (I use an iMac G5 2.1Ghz and PowerBook G4 1.5GHz). Oh well, I guess I can just get used to the new user-interface and the new feature sets before the final release comes out next spring (and save some cash for a Mac-Intel). Anyway, I’m gonna have fun from now ;)

Update
Is Photoshop CS3 much faster than CS2 or is it just me?? Man, it is fast. I’m in love already!

New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer

turtles_trailer01.jpg… over at MTV! Sadly, the trailer is in crappy Flash format which basically means, blurry, choppy and crappy stream. I wonder how long it takes before a QuickTime version appears on Apple. I’m dying to watch it again in Hi-Def glory…

The CG is pretty awesome and atmospheric. It is rather dark and gritty in appearance but because Michealangelo’s “Cowabunga dude” humour has been brought over, I wouldn’t expect anything other than, it’s a kids movie. Anyway, overall it seems like a fun movie. I’m definitely gonna see it!

Synopsis

After the defeat of their old arch nemesis, The Shredder, the Turtles have grown apart as a family. Struggling to keep them together, their sensei, Master Splinter, becomes worried when strange things begin to brew in New York City. Tech-industrialist Max Winters go’s mad after he was wrongfully fired, begins amassing an army of ancient monsters. Realizing his plan is succeeding, he is no longer sarisfied with Vegence against his ex- employer but now has thirst for World Domination.

Update 2006.12.22: QT version of the trailer, new hi-res movie stills, and voicing info.

Gonpachi

… restaurant in Nishi Azabu. This restaurant is 5 mins walk from my ex-company and is the place where, then Japanese Prime Minister, Koizumi wined and dined US President Bush when he made his first official visit a good few years back. I was dining here with my brother the day before he left. The food is good here but the menu is somewhat small and limited. Oh, and I suggest you make a reservation if you wish to dine here at around 8pm-ish - even on weekdays.

My bother was here

DSC_0717a.jpgMy elder brother, whom I last saw over 6 years ago, came to visit me last week. The reason as to why it’s been so long since I last saw him is because, just like myself, after graduating from University, he too left England for work abroad (hence I didn’t get to see him the last time I went back home to England). Although he was just here for 5 days, it’ just a great feeling to have a family member here. Now that he’s gone, I some-what feel I’m alone again being here in Tokyo…

Anyway, while my brother was here, I showed him around a few places (obviously, Odaiba is one of them as pictured). Will upload pics later…
